Overview

TabSorter is a browser extension for organizing tabs. It works locally in Chrome or Edge and does not require an account.

The data controller responsible for this website and extension is Oliver Michael Buchmann, Mommsenstr. 46, 50935 Köln, Deutschland. Privacy requests can be sent to quieti.app@gmail.com.

Data TabSorter Processes

  • Open tab URLs, titles, favicons, pinned state, audible state, active state, and browser group information.
  • User-created settings, preferred domains, workspace profiles, sorting rules, and grouping rules.
  • Saved tab sessions and optional auto-saved window states.
  • Local cleanup statistics such as duplicate tabs closed or domains imported from bookmarks.
  • Bookmark URLs only when you choose to import preferred domain suggestions from bookmarks.
  • Pro license keys and local browser activation identifiers when you activate, check, or deactivate a Pro license.

How Data Is Used

TabSorter uses this data only to sort tabs, create browser tab groups, detect cleanup suggestions, save and restore sessions, import preferred domain suggestions, back up or restore extension settings, and verify optional Pro license access.

Data Storage

TabSorter stores settings in browser extension sync storage and stores sessions, tab metadata, Tab Inbox state, pause state, and local statistics in browser extension local storage. Data remains under the browser profile's storage controls.

Data Sharing

TabSorter does not sell, rent, transfer, or share browsing data with third parties. The extension does not send tab URLs, tab titles, bookmark data, settings, cleanup data, or saved sessions to external servers.

For optional Pro licensing, TabSorter connects to Lemon Squeezy at https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/ when you activate, check, or deactivate a license. Those requests include the license key and local browser activation identifier needed to verify the subscription or purchase status. They do not include browsing data.

Remote Code and Analytics

TabSorter does not load remote code and does not include analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or telemetry services.

User Control

  • Change or delete profiles, preferred domains, and rules in the settings page.
  • Delete saved sessions from the extension UI.
  • Export a JSON backup of settings and saved sessions.
  • Import a JSON backup.
  • Remove all extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage in the browser.

Permissions

TabSorter requests only the browser permissions needed for tab organization features, including access to tabs and browser tab groups where required by the extension features you use.

Your Rights

If applicable data protection law grants you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, you can contact us using the details in the Impressum.
